It all started after Esxence 2018 when Essencional founder Silvio Levi – one of the leading experts in the fragrance market - gathered together a group of passionate fragrance industry professionals to bring to life his vision of a web platform that would serve the Artistic Perfumery and Beauty community. Identifying this group’s need for a trusted advocate and authority, Essencional aims to:

• Increase knowledge and understanding of the sector

• Promote and uphold common values

• Foster creativity and innovation

• Define, address, serve and give a voice to this community

Given these objectives, and as an open-minded actor in the artistic perfumery sector, it was only natural for Essencional to take on a new role as consultant to brands. We view the industry through impartial eyes, we listen, we understand, we identify problems and propose solutions, all with the aim of helping brands to reach their full potential. As the number of inquiries we receive continues to grow, we wanted to share a quick overview of what we do and a look at our track record to date.

WHAT WE DO

At Essencional we believe in the development of independent artistic perfumery brands and we aim to create value and opportunities for their improvement. Over the past few years, our platform has received countless requests from brands to provide advice, critiques and suggestions on numerous subjects ranging from retail readiness to olfactory evaluation, and everything in between.

In answer to this demand, in 2023 we launched consulting services in which we accompanied several brands through assessments and evaluations, leading to the creation of an action plan tailored to get results. At the end of the year we projected these services to expand in 2024 to become a larger part of our activities. Our approach is not “cookie cutter”; it is targeted to the unique needs of our clients on an individual, confidential basis. How can we help?

  • Are business development and strategic planning a source of frustration? Is creating a social media plan that works a challenge? Would an impartial brand assessment help to identify areas for improvement? Our team can customize a roadmap to address these concerns.

  • If there’s a need for general advice, or an audit of resources, we can help. We are experienced problem-solvers – identifying areas of improvement in processes and internal systems, recommending solutions and suggesting next steps.

  • For those starting something new, or who are stuck on a project or who need a fresh pair of eyes (or a nose) on something fragrance related, it’s best to bring us in early and take advantage of the way in which we are able to look at fragrances, brands, customers and projects. It can save time, money and a lot of headaches down the line.

  • For newcomers to the sector who don’t want to make a false step, our years of experience, our knowledge and our contacts are instrumental to creating a successful launch while laying groundwork for growth.

At the heart of it is the fact that we are people working with people, hands on, accountable and accessible. Our team of seasoned experts wants to help take brands from where they are to where they want to be.

TRACK RECORD

While we respect the confidentiality of our clients, let us share the scope of a few of the projects we have worked on recently.

  • A new brand who asked for a brand assessment because sealing deals with points of sale was challenging. The founder had spent years in the fragrance industry and a well-respected nose created the fragrances, but something wasn’t working.
