Notre Dame Professor Develops Electronic Nose Prototype
Vincent Myung, professor of engineering at the University of Notre Dame, has developed a prototype of an electronic nose that mimics the capabilities of a human nose: the electronic nose could have several applications, including the detection of atmospheric pollutants and greenhouse gases, the discovery of drugs and bombs, the detection of cancer and bacterial infections, the evaluation of food quality and the identification of gas leaks.
